πŸ₯΅ WATCH: Running The Impossible Half-Marathon Treadmill Workout

Senior Editor Alex Cyr does the most intense running workout of his season on the Wahoo KICKR RUN treadmill in preparation for the Houston Half-Marathon.

After training for 10 weeks in the freezing Canadian winter, Alex sequestered himself inside of a remote ski chalet, in the backroads of Ontario, Canada, to do his final preparatory runs on a high-performance treadmill.

Here, he runs what his coach calls "the impossible workout": 30 minutes at threshold pace, immediately followed by a one-kilometer kick.

β€‹πŸŽ‰ Des Linden and Kara Goucher Launch β€˜Save the 10,000’ Meet to Revive the Classic Distance

The 10,000m race might not have the flash of the 100m sprint or the cinematic appeal of a marathon, but it has a quiet, enduring charmβ€”and two-time Olympians Des Linden and Kara Goucher are on a mission to make sure it doesn’t fade away.

β€‹πŸ€Έ The 10 Best Stretches For Runners To Add To Your Post-Run Routine

You hear it all the time; don’t forget to stretch!

Luckily, we've compiled a list of some of the best stretches for runners that you can add to your post-run routine.

It includes stretches for all running muscle groups for a complete stretching session after your runs.

β€‹πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« 8 Signs Of Overtraining And What To Do About It

Overtraining is a real risk for most of us since it can be very challenging to fit training around work, family, and life.

Unfortunately, this can lead to some runners searching for shortcuts to improving their physical performance.

This can eventually leave the body exhausted and may lead to what is commonly known as overtraining or overtraining syndrome.

⏱️ Running 30 Minutes A Day: The Benefits And Effects

One of the fallacies inherent in many runner's mindsets is that a workout has to be long to be β€œworth it” or effective for your body.

In other words, if you don’t have an hour for a daily run, is it worth the hassle of getting your running shoes on and only running 30 minutes a day?

We discuss whether or not 30 minutes every day is enough for your health and well-being and the potential physical and mental health benefits of consistent aerobic exercise.

β€‹πŸ’Έ Saudi Arabia’s Next Big Sports Takeover: Is Track and Field For Sale?

Saudi Arabia is positioning itself as a dominant force in international sports, and track and field could be its next major acquisition.

The kingdom’s $930 billion Public Investment Fund (PIF), through its sports investment arm SURJ, is in talks with World Athletics to create a new commercial entity, a deal reportedly valued at $635 million (USD). Is this earnest interest in propping up athletics, or is Saudi Arabia merely leveraging World Athletics financial challenges in order to "sport wash" its deplorable human rights record?
